Cache CS2 Smoke Lineups: Every Nade You Need to Win

By VigilMay 4, 2026

Cache returned to CS2 on April 28, 2026, rebuilt for Source 2, and if you want to actually win rounds on it, you need to know your smokes. The map is mid-centric, the angles are long, and without utility you're just guessing. Here are the lineups that matter most.

Mid

This is the most important smoke on the entire map. The connector sits in the heart of Cache and is almost always held by a CT or AWPer who can freely pick off anyone trying to move through mid. Smoke it and you take away that early aggression completely. It can be thrown from T-spawn or near the mid entrance and works as a standalone move, you don't even need to be committing to a site. Mid control opens up both A and B options at the same time, which puts serious pressure on the CT rotation.

Heaven

Heaven is a raised platform on A site that gives defenders a free look at anyone entering. Without a smoke here, pushing A is a gamble. This lineup requires a jump throw, so it takes some practice to land consistently. Once you have it down though, it's a must-throw on any A execute, pair it with a flash and you've got a real entry.

Sunroom

Sunroom sits off B Halls, and its window gives CT a free look onto B site. A CT holding that window can stop a B execute before it starts. This smoke goes down first on any B push, without it you're asking your entry fraggers to peek into one of the more punishing angles on the map. Throw it early and make the site actually accessible.

CT Truck to A Main Smoke

A Main is the most direct route onto A site, and without a smoke it is nearly impossible to stop a full T rush from the CT side alone. This throw cuts off that entry completely, forcing the push to slow down or stop entirely. Instead of peeking into a full rush and hoping for the best, you buy your team enough time to rotate, reposition, or set up a proper defense.

CT B Halls Smoke

B Halls is the corridor Ts funnel through on their way to B Main and the site, and it's wide open. Smoking it from CT side slows the entire push down, forcing them to either wait it out or push blind. That delay is often all your B anchor needs to hold the site alone until a rotation arrives.

A note on CS:GO lineups

Cache has been rebuilt for Source 2, which means some of your old lineups won't land correctly. Geometry and lighting changes shift the pixel-level aim references that old lineups relied on. Test everything in a private server before using it in a match. Some will carry over fine, others will be off just enough to miss.
